Amending Section 12-2809 of The Philadelphia Code, which prescribes the civil penalties and costs for violations of the Philadelphia Traffic Code, by increasing the civil penalty for violations of Section 12-1120, which prohibits a person from leaving parked any vehicle not capable of being moved under its own power, or with deflated tires, or without current license tags, and by increasing the civil penalty for violations of Section 12-916, which prohibits a person from parking a vehicle if the person is not licensed, if the vehicle is not registered or does not display a registration plate, or if the vehicle is not insured.

..Title Amending Section 12-2809 of The Philadelphia Code, which prescribes the civil penalties and costs for violations of the Philadelphia Traffic Code, by increasing the civil penalty for violations of Section 12-1120, which prohibits a person from leaving parked any vehicle not capable of being moved under its own power, or with deflated tires, or without current license tags, and by increasing the civil penalty for violations of Section 12-916, which prohibits a person from parking a vehicle if the person is not licensed, if the vehicle is not registered or does not display a registration plate, or if the vehicle is not insured. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-2809 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: §12-2809. Civil Penalties and Costs. * * * (2) Any person violating the following provisions of Title 12 shall, upon a final finding of liability pursuant to this Chapter 12-2800, be liable for payment of the civil penalty indicated, in addition to the costs and fees set forth in subsection 12-2809(1): Code Provision Violation Description Penalty * * * 12-916(2) Parking Unregistered Vehicle; [$100.00] $300.00 Parking Without Driver's License * * * 12-1120(2) Abandoning Vehicle [$100.00] $300.00 * * * ___________________________________ Explanation: [Brackets] indicate matter deleted.
