..Title Honoring the Reverend Joseph L. Logrip, pastor of Mater Dolorosa parish on the occasion of his new clerical assignment as pastor of Immaculate Conception parish, Levittown, Pennsylvania ..Body WHEREAS, Father Logrip has been pastor of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in East Frankford since June of 1994; and WHEREAS, For the past six years Father Logrip has devoted his wholehearted and sincerest energy to revitalize the parish as a community of faith; and WHEREAS, The parish had been in financial distress and has since been restored to financial stability; and WHEREAS, Substantial measures have been taken to preserve and restore the church building, rectory and school; and WHEREAS, Father Logrip has been an adjunct professor of Sacred Scripture at Saint Charles Borremeo Seminary and has been a member of the faculty at several Archdiocesan high schools and is committed to the welfare of future priests, children and all who are under his pastoral supervision; and WHEREAS, Father Logrip has been deeply committed to the East Frankford Community through his membership on the boards of the Holy Family Neighborhood Center and the Ruan Street Playground Association; now therefore RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we extend our sincere wish for Father Logrip's success on his new clerical appointment and thank him for his selfless service as pastor of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church and to the East Frankford Community; and FURTHER, RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Father Logrip. ..End
