..Title To provide for the publication in a Spanish language newspapers of notices of bills, notices of public hearings on bills and other legal notices of Council. ..Body RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, THAT: The Chief Clerk of Council shall cause to be published, in the City's Spanish language newspapers, notice of public hearings on bills and notice of bills reported from committee. The Clerk shall do so, as nearly as practicable, in accordance with the times and in the manner required of such notices by section 2-201(5) of the Home Rule Charter, apart from that section's requirement specifying the newspapers in which to advertise; and The Chief Clerk of Council shall cause to be published, in the City's Spanish language newspapers all other notices Council is legally required to advertise. The Clerk shall do so, as nearly as practicable, in accordance with the times and in the manner provided by such legal requirement, apart from any such requirement's specification of the newspaper in which to advertise. These directives are not intended to create additional requirements for the passage of lawful bills and the Clerk's failure to meet either of them in connection with a particular bill will not make an otherwise lawful bill, upon passage, unlawful. ..End
