..Title Amending Chapter 10-800 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Safety," by prohibiting the inhalation of nitrous oxide for non-medical purposes, and by prohibiting the purchase, possession, sale, offering for sale, or other distribution of nitrous oxide for prohibited purposes; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 10-800 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: CHAPTER 10-800. SAFETY * * * §10-807. Nitrous Oxide. (1) No person shall breathe, inhale or ingest nitrous oxide for the purpose of causing intoxication, inebriation, excitement, stupefaction or the dulling of the brain or nervous system, except for the purpose of medical, surgical, or dental care by a person duly licensed to administer nitrous oxide. No person shall purchase, otherwise obtain, or possess nitrous oxide for such prohibited purpose. (2) No person shall sell, offer to sell, or otherwise distribute nitrous oxide if the person knows or has reason to believe the nitrous oxide will be used in violation of subsection (1). * * * ___________________________________ Explanation: Italics indicate new matter added. ..End
