..Title Asking that the City of Philadelphia place municipal weather information on the City of Philadelphia Cable Access Station. ..Body WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia currently subscribes to several weather services which it utilizes in making important weather related information; and WHEREAS, The City utilizes that service for key decisions made by the Department of Streets and the Aviation Department; and WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia currently utilizes a public access cable television channel through which government information is made available and the public meetings of the City Council; now therefore RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the City of Philadelphia investigate measures to utilize the weather services to which it subscribes to the benefit of the viewers of Philadelphia; and FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City take affirmative steps towards providing the citizens of Philadelphia with unfiltered weather information on the City public access channel. ..End
