..Title Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, to accept from the School District of Philadelphia conveyance of title to a certain parcel of land located at Eleventh and Venango streets, formerly the site of Richard Wright Elementary School, under certain terms and conditions. ..Body WHEREAS, the School District of Philadelphia holds title to a vacant lot located at Eleventh and Venango streets, which was formerly the site of the Richard Wright Elementary School; and WHEREAS, the School District desires to convey the Property to the City for $1.00 consideration, as evidenced by a Resolution adopted by the School Reform Commission in November, 2002; and WHEREAS, it is now necessary for City Council to authorize the Commissioner of Public Property to accept conveyance of the property to the City; now, therefore, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is authorized to accept conveyance of title from the School District of Philadelphia to a vacant lot located at Eleventh and Venango streets, which was formerly the site of the Richard Wright Elementary School, for consideration of $1.00, subject to an agreement which shall contain such terms and conditions as the City Solicitor shall deem necessary and proper to protect the interests of the City of Philadelphia and to carry out the purposes of this Ordinance. ..End
