..Title Recognizing Marquese Wilson, a fifteen year old student at Dobbins High School for his courage and act of heroism. ..Body WHEREAS, On October 27, 2003, Marquese Wilson without second guessing willingly risked his life by entering a burning house at 3636 North 23rd Street, and WHEREAS, Marquese Wilson successfully rescued an elderly woman from the burning building, and WHEREAS, Marquese Wilson is a young man who demonstrated courage, compassion and concern for human life and human beings, and WHEREAS, Marquese Wilson is recognized as a hero and a role model for all citizens of the city of Philadelphia. RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Marquese Wilson is honored for his heroic action in saving the life of a citizen of the city of Philadelphia. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of the resolution is presented to Marquese Wilson as an expression of recognition, gratitude and sincere appreciation of the legislative body. ..End
