..Title Authorizing City Council's Committee on Streets and Services to hold public hearings to examine the creation, maintenance and funding of public restrooms. ..Body WHEREAS, Hundreds of thousands of individuals visit the City of Philadelphia each year; and, WHEREAS, There are no public restrooms in the City for visitors and citizens to use; and, WHEREAS, Public urination and defecation continue to be a nuisance and health threat to the City's citizens; and, WHEREAS, Public restroom programs have been used successfully in cities such as New York, San Francisco and San Jose; now therefore RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That authority be given to City Council's Committee on Streets and Services to hold public hearings to examine the creation, maintenance and funding of public restrooms. ..End
