..Title Recognizing April 25th through May 1st, 2004, as Philadelphia Contract Managers Week. ..Body WHEREAS, The Contract Managers Association has a culturally and professionally diverse membership of over 18,000 acquisition professionals; and WHEREAS, The Contract Managers Association has offered forty-five years of professional growth and educational advancement for its members; and WHEREAS, The Contract Managers Association promotes responsible behavior, as defined by the National Contract Managers Association Code of Ethics; and WHEREAS, The Contract Managers Association offers continuous development through education, training, research and study; and WHEREAS, The Contract Managers Association emphasizes to its members independence of purpose, freedom of action, and responsibilities to their employees; and WHEREAS, The National Contract Managers Association will be holding its World Congress 2004 in Orlando, Florida, during the week of April 25th through May 1st, 2004; now therefore RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby recognize April 25, 2004, through May 1, 2004, as Philadelphia Contract Managers Week, as evidence of the sincere sentiments of this legislative body. ..End
