..Title Amending Title 17 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Contracts and Procurement," by providing that if any existing or new City contract grants the City the right to use or control the use of a suite, box, or other portion of a sports stadium, ballpark, arena, or other sports facility ("City suite"), such City suite must be leased by the City to the highest responsible bidder; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 17 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 17. CONTRACTS AND PROCUREMENT. * * * CHAPTER 17-1100. CITY SUITES. §17-1101. Definitions. (1) "City suite." A suite, box, or other portion of a sports stadium, ballpark, arena, or other sports facility. §17-1102. New contracts granting rights to City suites. (1) No City officer shall execute any contract under which the City will be granted the right to use or control a City suite unless such contract requires that the City suite be leased by the City to the highest responsible bidder, with all rental payments paid into the General Fund. §17-1103. Existing contracts granting rights to City suites. (1) If the City has the right to use or control the use of a City suite under a contract executed before §17-1102 became law, then the City shall lease such City suite to the highest responsible bidder, with all rental payments paid into the General Fund. _____________________________________ Explanation: [Brackets] indicate matter deleted.
