..Title Approving the Revision to the Holy Family University Institutional Development District (IDD) Master Plan. ..Body WHEREAS, Holy Family University is an approximate 50-acre site located at Frankford and Grant Avenues in Northeast Philadelphia, is zoned "Institutional Development District" (IDD) and includes Nazareth Academy High School; and WHEREAS, Nazareth Academy High School is proposing an amendment to its "IDD" Master Plan which provides for the construction of a new performing arts center building addition to its existing building at 4001 Grant Avenue; and WHEREAS, Holy Family University has presented its expansion plan to neighboring residents; and WHEREAS, The City Planning Commission has reviewed the "IDD" Master Plan amendment and approved the revision at its meeting of May 12, 2005; and WHEREAS, Notice of the Planning Commission consideration and approval of the Master Plan revision was officially forwarded to City Council by the Planning Commission in a letter dated May 13, 2005; and WHEREAS, Given the community support for this project, the quality education provided by the High School, and the need for the building addition, City Council should approve this revision and notify the Planning Commission of its support so that Nazareth Academy High School can proceed as quickly as possible with this construction; now therefore RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the revision to the Holy Family University "Institutional Development District" Master Plan be approved. FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Council President provide written notice to the City Planning Commission of the action Council has taken. ..End
