..Title Amending Section 12-1120 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Abandoned Vehicles," by increasing the towing and storage fees that an authorized salvor may charge for towing and storing an abandoned vehicles, under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-1120 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: §12-1120. Abandoned Vehicles. * * * (5) Upon written request of the Police Department as per 67 Pa. Code Sec. 253.5(b), an authorized salvor shall take possession of and remove to the storage facility of the salvor any abandoned vehicle located within thirty (30) miles of the place of business of the salvor. When a vehicle is towed by an authorized salvor as an abandoned vehicle, the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Vehicle Code, 75 Pa. C.S.A., Sec. 7301-7312, and of Chapter 253 of the Pennsylvania Code, 67 Pa. Code Sec. 253.1-253.6 shall apply. (6) The salvor shall not charge more than [forty-five (45) dollars] one hundred dollars ($100) for the towing of the abandoned vehicle and not more than [six (6) dollars] eleven dollars and fifty cents ($11.50) per day for [the] each of the first five days of storage of that same abandoned vehicle, and not more than seventeen dollars and twenty-five cents ($17.25) for each day of storage thereafter. _____________________________________ Explanation: [Brackets] indicate matter deleted.
