..Title Calling for the Philadelphia City Planning Commission to retain its staff during and after the reorganization of Housing Agencies. ..Body WHEREAS, The staff of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission is known for its professionalism and autonomy; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission has guided our City's growth and development with the original Comprehensive Plan and plans for neighborhoods all over the City; and WHEREAS, The Community Planning staff has prepared the redevelopment plans needed for dozens of neighborhood revitalization projects throughout the City; and WHEREAS, The Community Planning Division continues its 55-year tradition of giving information and assistance to neighborhood and civic groups; and WHEREAS, The Community Planners have been an important part of the staff team working with the neighborhoods on zoning issues; and WHEREAS, The Community Planners have assisted and advised members of City Council on many planning related issues over the years; now therefore RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Calling for the Philadelphia Planning Commission to retain its staff during and after the reorganization of Housing Agencies. ..End
