..Title Amending Chapter 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by amending provisions related to businesses with a drive-thru, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 14-102 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: §14-102. "Definitions." * * * Canopy. A permanent roofed over structure which may be a completely open sided structure attached or detached from the main structure and used in conjunction with the principle use. SECTION 2. Section 14-303 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: §14-303. "C-2" Commercial District * * * (t) Businesses with a Drive-thru. Drive-thru's for financial institutions and retail drug stores shall be permitted provided they are not located between the main building and the front street line and that a dedicated lane is provided for such use. SECTION 3. Section 14-312 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: §14-312. "Commercial District Rules and Exceptions for All Districts." (3) Canopies. Canopies for drive-thru's listed in §14-303(t) and gas pumps that are permitted as part of a gas station shall be permitted in accordance with the area regulations of the district in which it is located.
