..Title Recognizing, honoring and celebrating The Traffic Club of Philadelphia on the occasion of their 100th Year Anniversary. ..Body WHEREAS, The Traffic Club of Philadelphia was founded in 1908 to promote the interests of the transportation industry, to conduct educational programs in the field of transportation and to promote the transportation industry for the benefit of the national welfare; and WHEREAS, The Traffic Club of Philadelphia is comprised of representatives from industry, railroad, motor carriers, freight forwarders, airlines, steamship lines and warehouses; and WHEREAS, The Traffic Club of Philadelphia sponsors and administers a variety of scholarships for higher education recognizing outstanding scholastic achievement, encouraging students to pursue careers in transportation, and honoring Traffic Club members and others who have made invaluable contributions to their profession and the entire Delaware Valley; now therefore RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby Recognizes, Honors and Celebrates The Traffic Club of Philadelphia on the occasion of their 100th Year Anniversary and extends their best wishes for 100 more years. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to The Traffic Club of Philadelphia further evidencing the sincere admiration and gratitude of this legislative body. ..End
