..Title Honoring Strawberry Mansion High School Boys Basketball Team for their successful 2008 season and their appearance in the PIAA Class AA State Basketball Championship. ..Body WHEREAS, Strawberry Mansion High School is located on Ridge Avenue in North Philadelphia; and WHEREAS, The Strawberry Mansion Knights Boys Basketball team is Coached by Mr. Gerald Hendricks; and WHEREAS, The Knight's team consists of Devon White, Eddie Frazier, Darren Lawrence, Isaac Bradford, Dwayne Davis, Marcus Grimes, and Lawrence Elliot; and WHEREAS, The Knights 2008 season consisted of an impressive 23-6 record which took them all the way to the PIAA Class AA State Basketball Championship Game; and WHEREAS, In a hard fought and very close game the Knights fell just short of the State Championship in a 72-76 overtime loss to Jeannette High School; and WHEREAS, The Knights were lead by senior Dwayne Davis, who averaged 22.1 points throughout the season and was a first-team Pennsylvania Class AA all-state selection; and WHEREAS, In the Championship game Strawberry Mansion's double figure scorers were Dwayne Davis who had 28 points and three assists and Eddie finished with seven points, 12 rebounds and four blocks; and WHEREAS, The Knight's Boys Basketball Team should be applauded for their impressive 2008 season and State Championship appearance; now therefore BE IT RESOLVED, That the Strawberry Mansion High School Knights Boys Basketball Team be honored for their successful 2008 season and State Championship appearance. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to the Strawberry Mansion High School Boys Basketball Team. ..End
