..Title Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 231 by striking from the City Plan certain unopened portions of Umbria Street from Leverington Avenue to Wright Street and placing on the City Plan Old Umbria Street and Hermitage Street within the lines of the portion of Umbria Street being stricken, all in order to conform more closely to existing conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 11-404 of The Philadelphia Code, in order to conform more closely to existing conditions, the Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to revise the lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 231 by: (a) Striking from the City Plan certain unopened portions of Umbria Street from Leverington Avenue to Wright Street, thereby reducing the width of said Umbria Street from one-hundred fifty feet to fifty feet. (b) Placing on the City Plan Old Umbria Street from the proposed southwesterly side of Umbria Street to the northeasterly side of Canton Street, within the lines of the portion of Umbria Street being stricken and conforming to the lines of Old Umbria Street as presently legally open. (c) Placing on the City Plan Hermitage Street from the proposed southwesterly side of Umbria Street to a dead end approximately one-hundred feet southwestwardly therefrom, within the lines of the portion of Umbria Street being stricken and conforming to the lines of former Hermitage Street as plotted on the City Plan prior to its striking on September 10, 1917. SECTION 2. The following provisions of The Philadelphia Code shall not apply to the streets affected by this Ordinance: (a) Section 14-2104(3)(g), relating to dead end streets. (b) Sections 11-407(2) and 14-2104(5), relating to the widths of streets. (c) Section 14-2104(6), relating to the alignment of streets. (d) Section 14-2104(8)(a), relating to the angles of street intersections. ..End
