..Title Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan Nos. 63 and 67 by relocating the northeasterly and southwesterly curblines of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from Twenty-First Street to points northwest of Twenty-Second Street; relocating portions of the curblines of intersections affected thereby; striking from the City Plan and vacating Callowhill Street from Twenty-First Street to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway; and by placing on the City Plan a right of way for various utility purposes within the lines of Callowhill Street being stricken. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 11-404 of The Philadelphia Code, the Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to revise the lines and grades on a portion of City Plan Nos. 63 and 67 by: (a) Relocating the northeasterly curbline of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, from Twenty-First Street to a point approximately seven-hundred feet northwest of Twenty-Second Street, two feet southwestwardly, thereby widening the northeasterly footway of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from fifteen feet to seventeen feet. (b) Relocating the southwesterly curbline of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, from Twenty-First Street to a point approximately nine-hundred feet northwest of Twenty-Second Street, two feet northeastwardly, thereby widening the southwesterly footway of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from fifteen feet to seventeen feet. (c) Relocating portions of the curblines of Twenty-First Street and Twenty-Second Street at and near their intersections with the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to establish certain curb bump-outs and modify certain traffic islands for the purposes of improving the safety of pedestrians and improving traffic flow. (d) Striking from the City Plan Callowhill Street from Twenty-First Street to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and vacating the said Callowhill Street as a public highway but retaining the bed thereof as a part of Fairmount Park. (e) Placing on the City Plan a right of way for drainage purposes, water main purposes, gas main purposes, and public utility purposes within the lines of Callowhill Street being stricken from the City Plan by authority of this Ordinance. ..End
