..Title Recognizing and thanking Frank Punzo on the occasion of his retirement after five years of dedicated and excellent service to the people of the City of Philadelphia. ..Body WHEREAS, Frank Punzo began his City of Philadelphia public service career as a Communications Superintendent on January 5, 2004; and WHEREAS, Mr. Punzo received an exempt appointment to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Communications on February 1, 2007; and WHEREAS, Mr. Punzo was responsible during his tenure for the Switchboard, Municipal Radio, the 800 Mhz System, the Telephone/Wireless Phone Unit, and the Radio Shop; and WHEREAS, Mr. Punzo demonstrated great vision, leadership, and commitment in carrying-out his responsibilities; and WHEREAS, Mr. Punzo, having come from a position of great authority in the Private Sector, used that experience to help make City Government work efficiently, economically, and effectively; and WHEREAS, Mr. Punzo was much admired and respected for his professionalism and dedication to personal service by his superiors and subordinates, clients and vendors, and the many friends that he made in City Government; and WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Philadelphia wishes Frank Punzo the very best in his next (undoubtedly exciting) venture. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it is pleased and proud to hereby recognize and thank Frank Punzo on the occasion of his retirement after five years of dedicated and excellent service to the people of the City of Philadelphia. . FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Frank Punzo, further evidencing the admiration and gratitude of this legislative body. ..End
