..Title Authorizing the City Council President to create a Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI) Oversight Committee. ..Body WHEREAS, The Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI) was created as a collaborative effort between the executive and legislative branches as a comprehensive strategy to rebuild the City's neighborhoods, remove blight, and attract private development; and WHEREAS, An audit was recently completed by City Controller's office that identified a substantial amount of remaining NTI funds; and WHEREAS, In the interest of good government and continued efficiency, a committee consisting of designees from the executive and legislative branches of government, as well as the City Controllers office should be created and charged with overseeing the programming and expenditure of all remaining NTI funds including land acquisition; therefore be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the President of City Council be hereby authorized to create an Neighborhood Transformation Initiative (NTI) Oversight Committee consisting of The Mayor or his designee, The City Controller or his designee, and The President of City Council or her designee. ..End
