..Title Confirming the appointment of Sanjuanita Gonzalez as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2013. ..Body WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter appointed and Council confirmed (by operation of law pursuant to Section 3-806(c) of the Home Rule Charter), Kenya Mann Faulkner as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve a five-year term to end November 16, 2013; and WHEREAS, Ms. Mann Faulkner has resigned her position on the Board of Ethics, creating a vacancy; and WHEREAS, Section 3-806(c) ("Vacancies") of the Home Rule Charter provides that vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the term of the member succeeded; and WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter has nominated Sanjuanita Gonzalez for appointment as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve in the unexpired portion of the vacant term; and WHEREAS, Section 3-806 of the Charter requires the advice and consent of a majority of all members of the Council for the appointment of members of the Board of Ethics; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby consents to and confirms the appointment of Sanjuanita Gonzalez as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2013. ..End
