..Title Amending Subcode "A" (The Philadelphia Administrative Code) of Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code," by providing for the manner of payment of electrical permit fees for the installation of solar electric (also known as photovoltaic) systems. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows: TITLE 4. THE PHILADELPHIA BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AND OCCUPANCY CODE. * * * CHAPTER 4-200. TEXT OF SUBCODES SUBCODE "A" (THE PHILADELPHIA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE) * * * CHAPTER 9 FEES * * * SECTION A-903 ELECTRICAL CODE FEES * * * A-903.2 Electrical permit fees: The permit fee for electrical work shall be $25.00 for each $1,000.00 or fraction thereof of estimated electrical construction costs. The minimum fee shall be $25.00. The maximum fee shall be $7,500.00. Except as provided in Section A-903.2.1, [The] the construction costs shall be determined by inclusion of the following: 1. All electrical equipment, conductors, conduit, etc., 2. All material, 3. All labor, 4. Overhead and profit. A-903.2.1 Calculation of construction costs for solar electric (also known as photovoltaic) systems. A-903.2.1.1 Solar electric system or photovoltaic system defined: For the purposes of this subsection, the terms "solar electric system" and "photovoltaic system" shall each mean the total components and subsystems that, in combination, convert solar energy into electrical energy suitable for connection to a utilization load. A-903.2.1.2 For the purpose of calculating the electrical permit fee, the electrical construction costs for any project that includes installation of a solar electric or photovoltaic system shall not include the cost of any arrays or inverters used in the installation of such systems.
