..Title Amending Chapter 20-500 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Councilmanic Districts," by revising the boundaries of the Councilmanic Districts, under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 20-501 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby repealed, and a new Section 20-501 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby added, to read as follows: §20-501. Boundaries of Districts. Pursuant to Section 2-102 of The Philadelphia Home Rule Charter, the following Councilmanic Districts are hereby created: District No. 1 First Ward: All Divisions. Second Ward: Divisions 1-8; 10-18; 23-27. Fifth Ward: Divisions 1-14; 16; 18-19; 21-22; 24-29. Eighteenth Ward: Division 5. Twenty-fifth Ward: Divisions 1-13; 16-18; 21-24. Thirty-first Ward: Divisions 1; 3-8; 10-19. Thirty-ninth Ward: Divisions 1-3; 5-13; 15; 17-28; 30-35; 37-40; 42-43; 45-46. Forty-fifth Ward: Divisions 7-11; 13-14; 16-19; 21-22; 24. Approximate population: 152,305. District No. 2 Second Ward: Divisions 9; 19-22. Eighth Ward: Divisions 1-7; 9; 12-14; 20-21; 27-28. Twenty-sixth Ward: All Divisions. Thirtieth Ward: All Divisions. This Ordinance shall not affect the elected members of Council during the term ending the first Monday of January 2016, nor shall it affect the powers, duties or functions of their offices or of the Council or its officers during such term. The new district boundaries set forth in this Ordinance shall apply only to the nomination and election of the members of Council whose terms of office commence the first Monday of January 2016, and thereafter. ..End 4
