..Title Amending Section 14-1629 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "North Central Philadelphia Community Special District Controls," by specifically amending Section 14-1629(3), entitled "District Boundaries," to prohibit student housing in certain neighborhoods near Temple University; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 14. ZONING AND PLANNING. * * * CHAPTER 14-1600. MISCELLANEOUS. * * * § 14-1629. North Central Philadelphia Community Special District Controls. * * * (3) District Boundaries. For the purposes of this Section, the North Central Philadelphia Special District Controls shall apply to all residentially zoned (R9A, R10, R13, R20) properties within the following areas: * * * (h) The area bounded by N. 19th Street on the west, Lehigh Avenue on the north, Ninth Street on the east, southward along 9th Street to Cecil B. Moore Avenue, westward along Cecil B. Moore Avenue to 13th Street, southward along 13th Street to Girard Avenue, and Girard Avenue from 13th Street to 19th Street on the south. (4) Prohibited Uses. Within the area subject to the North Central Philadelphia Special District Controls, and notwithstanding any other Chapter of this Title, the following uses shall be prohibited: (a) Multiple-family dwellings; (b) Apartment houses; (c) Tenement houses; (d) Student housing not owner-occupied; (e) Fraternity/Sorority houses. ___________________________________ Explanation: Italics indicate new matter added. ..End
