..Title Honoring Joseph R. Bogdonavage for his achievements in service to the City of Philadelphia and its citizens as Interim Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Philadelphia Gas Works. ..Body WHEREAS, In 1972, Joseph R. Bogdonavage received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Temple University and has over 38 years of diverse experience in finance with the Philadelphia Gas Works ("PGW"); and WHEREAS, In January 2011, Mr. Bogdonavage was appointed as Interim Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and, in this position, he was responsible for PGW's Operating and Capital Budget, Accounting & Reporting, and Treasury functions; and WHEREAS, Prior to his appointment, Mr. Bogdonavage served as Senior Vice President for Finance and he held previous positions including Director, Manager, and Supervisor in the Budget & Financial Forecasting Department, Accounting Assistant Supervisor, and Budget Analyst; and WHEREAS, Mr. Bogdonavage is a member of the American Gas Association's Financial and Administrative Committee and the Energy Association of Pennsylvania's Finance Committee; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby honor Joseph R. Bogdonavage for his hard work, accomplishments, and fine service to PGW customers and to the citizens of Philadelphia and wish him much success in his future endeavors. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Joseph R. Bogdonavage as evidence of the sincere sentiments of this legislative body. ..End 1 2
