..Title Amending Title 14 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Zoning and Planning," by amending Section 14-603, entitled "Use-Specific Standards," by revising requirements relating to family day care, under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 13 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows: TITLE 14. ZONING AND PLANNING * * * CHAPTER 14-600. USE REGULATIONS * * * §14-603. Use-Specific Standards. * * * (5) Day Care. (a) Family Day Care (.1) A family day care use must be located in a [residential dwelling unit] single-family or two-family residence and is permitted to occupy the same lot as the [residential dwelling unit] residence as another principal use. The family day care use must be operated by the resident owner of the [dwelling unit] residence or a resident tenant authorized by the owner. [The operator (either the owner or authorized tenant) must reside in the dwelling unit.] (.2) Family day care uses are limited to providing care to a maximum of six [or fewer] children, or, if approved by special exception, twelve children, except within "Area 1" and "Area 2," as defined below and shown on the following two maps for illustrative purposes only, family day care uses are limited to providing care to four or fewer children. * * * ___________________________________ Explanation: [Brackets] indicate matter deleted.
