..Title Authorizing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 72 by placing on the City Plan an extension of Cotton Street from its current terminus at the northeasterly side of the Manayunk Canal, southwest of Main Street, southwestwardly to a point approximately twenty-two feet southwest of the southwesterly side of the Canal and placing on the City Plan an extension of Lock Street from its current terminus at the northeasterly side of the Manayunk Canal, southwest of Main Street, southwestwardly to the southwesterly side of the Canal and authorizing the opening of the portions of the said extensions of Cotton Street and Lock Street extending through property owned by the City. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 11-402 of The Philadelphia Code, the Board of Surveyors of the Department of Streets is hereby authorized to revise the lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 72 by: a) Placing on the City Plan an extension of Cotton Street from its current terminus at the northeasterly side of the Manayunk Canal, approximately one-hundred nineteen feet southwest of Main Street, approximately one-hundred fifteen feet further southwestwardly therefrom to a point approximately twenty-two feet southwest of the southwesterly side of the Canal. b) Placing on the City Plan an extension of Lock Street from its current terminus at the northeasterly side of the Manayunk Canal, approximately ninety-two feet southwest of Main Street, approximately eighty-three feet further southwestwardly therefrom to the southwesterly side of the Canal. SECTION 2. Effective upon confirmation of the City Plan changes authorized herein, the Board of Surveyors is hereby authorized to adopt a resolution declaring the portions of the said extensions of Cotton Street and Lock Street extending through property owned by the City of Philadelphia to be legally open. ..End
