..Title Recognizing and honoring 8th District resident Chris Rabb for his achievements. ..Body WHEREAS, Chris Rabb is an author, consultant and educator residing in the 8th Councilmanic District; and WHEREAS, Mr. Rabb is an adjunct faculty member at Temple University's Fox School of Business, where he teaches in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute; and WHEREAS, Mr. Rabb has worked in the U.S. Senate as a legislative aide and as a writer, researcher, and trainer for the White House Conference on Small Business; and WHEREAS, In 2004, Mr. Rabb became one of the first bloggers to receive press credentials to cover a national political convention; and WHEREAS, In 2010, Mr. Rabb authored Invisible Capital: How Unseen Forces Shape Entrepreneurial Opportunity; and WHEREAS, The Knight Foundation recently awarded a combined $200,000 through its "BMe Leadership Awards", which are given to men who are working to make their communities stronger; and WHEREAS, Mr. Rabb was awarded $20,000 to develop workshops to teach social entrepreneurship; now therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby recognizes and honors Chris Rabb for his achievements. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to Chris Rabb as evidence of the sincere sentiments of this legislative body. ..End
