..Title Authorizing the Parks and Recreation Commissioner on behalf of the City of Philadelphia ("City"), to execute a Maintenance Agreement with the Township of Lower Merion ("Township") under which the City will assist the Township in maintaining certain elements of the recreational trail crossing Manayunk Bridge, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The Parks and Recreation Commissioner, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, is authorized to execute a Maintenance Agreement with the Township of Lower Merion ("Township"), substantially in the form set forth in Exhibit A to this ordinance, under which the City will assist the Township in maintaining certain elements of the recreational trail crossing Manayunk Bridge, known as the Manayunk Bridge Trail, to make the trail safe for use by the general public. The Parks and Recreation Commissioner is further authorized to execute all other documents it deems necessary or appropriate to protect the interests of the City and to complete the transaction contemplated by this ordinance. SECTION 2. The Chief Clerk shall keep a copy of Exhibit A to this Ordinance on file in the Chief Clerk's office for inspection by members of the public. SECTION 3. The City Solicitor is authorized to include in the Maintenance Agreement those provisions that the City Solicitor deems necessary or appropriate to protect the interests of the City. The City Solicitor is further authorized to prepare all additional agreements and documents that the City Solicitor deems necessary or appropriate to protect the interests of the City. ..End
