..Title Approving the appointment of Asia Coney as a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Philadelphia Housing Authority. ..Body WHEREAS, Asia Coney has been nominated to be a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Philadelphia Housing Authority pursuant to Section5(c)(2) of the Housing Authorities Law, Act of May 28, 1937, P.L. 955. No. 265, as amended by the Act of July 5, 2012, P.L. 1093, No. 130 (35 P.S. §1545(c)(2)); and WHEREAS, Section 5(c)(1) of the Housing Authorities Law requires the approval of a majority of the members of the Council for the appointment of members to the Board of Commissioners of the Philadelphia Housing Authority; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That the appointment of Asia Coney as a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Philadelphia Housing Authority is hereby approved. ..End
