..Title Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, to acquire title from the Salvation Army to a certain tract of land at the southeast corner of 22nd & Market Streets, known as 2140 Market Street; and amending Chapter 15-200 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Fairmount Park," to make the parcel part of the Fairmount Park System and to make technical changes; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property is hereby authorized to acquire title from the Salvation Army to a certain tract of land at the southeast corner of 22nd & Market Streets, known as 2140 Market Street, for nominal consideration. SECTION 2. Upon acquisition of title, the parcel is incorporated into the Fairmount Park System. SECTION 3. Chapter 15-200 of The Philadelphia Code is amended as follows: TITLE 15. PARKS AND RECREATION. * * * CHAPTER 15-200. FAIRMOUNT PARK SYSTEM. * * * § 15-201. Jurisdictional Areas. The following areas are part of the Fairmount Park System and shall be under the care and jurisdiction of the [Fairmount Park Commission] Department of Parks and Recreation: * * * Kensington & Tacony Trail, 2140 Market Street, * * * and other areas which by ordinance have been or will be [placed under the care and jurisdiction of that Commission] designated as part of that System. SECTION 4. The City Solicitor is hereby authorized to review and to approve, prior to execution, all instruments and documents necessary to effectuate this Ordinance, and to include in all those instruments and documents terms and conditions as the City Solicitor deems necessary and proper to protect the interest of the City. ___________________________________ Explanation: [Brackets] indicate matter deleted.
