..Title Establishing a new Chapter of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Philadelphia Affordable Workforce Housing Opportunity Zones," authorizing the designation of the City in whole or in part as a Workforce Housing Opportunity Zone; establishing definitions; and authorizing disposition of publicly-owned zone properties for nominal consideration, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. A new Chapter 16-900 of The Philadelphia Code is added to read as follows: CHAPTER 16-900. PHILADELPHIA WORKFORCE HOUSING OPPORTUNITY ZONES. § 16-901. Definitions. (1) In this Chapter the following definitions shall apply: (a) Affordable Workforce Homeownership Housing. Housing affordable to households whose income is between 80% and 120% of Area Median Income as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. § 16-902. Designation of Zones. (1) The areas of the City generally known as follows shall be designated as Philadelphia Affordable Workforce Housing Opportunity Zones: * * * § 16-903. Authorization to Dispose of Publicly-owned Property for Nominal Consideration. (1) Publicly owned properties in designated Philadelphia Affordable Workforce Housing Opportunity Zones shall be available for disposition for nominal consideration for the development of Affordable Workforce Homeownership Housing as defined in 16-901 (a), upon approval by ordinance.
