..Title Approving the appointment of Asia Coney as a member of the Board of the Philadelphia Housing Authority. ..Body WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter has appointed Asia Coney to be a member of the Board of the Philadelphia Housing Authority pursuant to Section 5(c)(2) of the Housing Authorities Law, Act of May 28, 1937, P.L. 955, No. 265, as amended by the Act of July 5, 2012, P.L. 1093, No. 130 (53 P.S. § 1545); and WHEREAS, Section 5 of the Housing Authorities Law requires the approval of a majority of the members of the Council for the appointment of members to the Board of the Philadelphia Housing Authority; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby approves the appointment of Asia Coney as a member of the Board of the Philadelphia Housing Authority. ..End
