..Title Honoring and recognizing Philadelphia Business Journal and their 2016 "40 under 40" Class. ..Body WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Business Journal has published a top "40 under 40" class since 1991 to award the next generation of business leaders; and WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Business Journal takes the time each year to highlight the successes and work ethic of young entrepreneurs; and WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Business Journal receives hundreds of nominations each year and narrows it down to only 40; and WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Business Journal selects the top "40 under 40" based on business success, financial results, career growth, volunteer work, community involvement and leadership abilities, and influence on quality of life for all; and WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia hopes these business leaders will continue to grow their companies, careers and lives here in the City of Philadelphia; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby recognizes and honors The Philadelphia Business Journal editors, staff and the "40 under 40" Class of 2016 for their service to the City and in creating a business friendly atmosphere in Philadelphia. ..End
