..Title To amend Title 11 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Streets," by revising certain provisions of Chapter 11-600, entitled "Construction, Encroachments, and Projections Over, On, and Under Streets," to amend the encroachment regulations for signage, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 11 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Key: 1. In Tables that contain bracketed table notes, and in the table notes, deletions are indicated by { } rather than [ ]. TITLE 11. STREETS. * * * CHAPTER 11-600. CONSTRUCTION, ENCROACHMENTS, AND PROJECTIONS OVER, ON, AND UNDER STREETS. § 11-601. Definitions. * * * (11.1) Portable Signs. Any sign that is movable and not permanently attached to a structure or the ground. Portable signs include standing or upright, A-frame, feather flag, banner, pennant, inflatable, wind-activated, and other movable signs. * * * § 11-604. Encroachments Upon and Obstructions of the Streets. * * * (12) Portable Signs. Portable Signs, as defined in 11-601(11.1) shall not project beyond the street line or lessen the width of the sidewalk in any way. * * * SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately. ..End
