..Title Amending Chapter 19-1800 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "School Tax Authorization," to authorize the Board of Education to impose a real estate tax for the School District of Philadelphia, under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 19-1800 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: CHAPTER 19-1800. SCHOOL TAX AUTHORIZATION. § 19-1801. Authorization of Tax. (1) The Board of Education of The School District of Philadelphia is authorized to impose an annual tax for school district purposes on real estate within the City of Philadelphia for the years 1964 through [2018] 2019 and thereafter. * * * (3) For tax year 2014 and thereafter: * * * (a.2) For tax year 2016 [and thereafter,] through tax year 2018, the Tax Rate shall be 0.7681%, or seventy-six and eighty-one hundredths cents per one hundred dollars ($100) of Net Taxable Value. (a.3) For tax year 2019 and thereafter, the Tax Rate shall be 0.8521%, or eighty-five and twenty-one one-hundredths cents per one hundred dollars ($100) of Net Taxable Value. * * * ___________________________________ Explanation: [Brackets] indicate matter deleted.
