..Title Amending Section 2 of an Ordinance (Bill No. 180285) approved on June 6, 2018, entitled "An Ordinance authorizing the Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania, ("Owner") to install, own and maintain various encroachments at 1 Convention Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104 ("Property"), under certain terms and conditions," by extending the period of compliance with the terms and conditions stated therein and making technical corrections. ..Body WHEREAS, and Ordinance (Bill No. 180285) approved on June 6, 2018 was conditional upon certain requirements being complied with within one (1) year from the date of approval; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to extend the timeframe in which such requirements may be met; now, therefore THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 1 of an Ordinance (Bill No. 180285) approved on June 6, 2018, is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 1. Permission is hereby granted to Owner to install, own and maintain various encroachments at the Property ("Encroachments") as follows: Encroachment Description: * * * Pedestrian [Walkway/Canopy] Bridge and Canopy #4: [An elevated pedestrian walkway/canopy] A pedestrian bridge and canopy over the Convention Avenue north footway located approximately one hundred fifteen feet (115'-0") east of the Civic Center Boulevard east curb line to a point approximately two-hundred fifty feet (250'-0") farther east and with a lower edge not less than sixteen feet (16'-0") above finished grade. * * * SECTION 2. Section 5 of an Ordinance (Bill No. 180285) approved on June 6, 2018, is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 5. The permission granted to Owner to install own and maintain the Encroachment described in Section 1 shall expire without any further action by the City of Philadelphia if Owner has not entered into an Agreement and satisfied all requirements of the Agreement that are listed in Section 3 of this Ordinance [within one (1) year after this Ordinance becomes law] by July 6, 2021. * * * SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall not become effective unless the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00), toward costs thereof, is paid into the City Treasury within sixty (60) days after the date this Ordinance becomes law. ___________________________________ Explanation: [Brackets] indicate matter deleted.
