..Title Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Designation of Bicycle Lanes," to authorize bicycle lanes on Richmond Street, from Lewis Street to Berkshire Street; and making associated changes to parking regulations within the same limits; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows: � 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes. * * * (2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations: * * * (*) Richmond Street, both sides, from Lewis Street to Berkshire Street, and the removal of a parking lane on each side of Richmond Street, within the same limits. SECTION 2. All existing parking regulations on the following streets are hereby terminated: Richmond Street, east and west side, from Lewis Street to Berkshire Street. SECTION 3. The following parking regulations are hereby established: No Stopping Any Time Richmond Street, east and west sides, from Lewis Street to Berkshire Street. SECTION 4. Effective date. (a) Section 1 of this Ordinance shall take effect immediately. (b) Sections 2 and 3 of this Ordinance shall take effect upon the placement of parking signs after the completion of the PennDOT resurfacing of Richmond Street. ..End
