..Title Authorizing City Council's Committee on Global Opportunities and Creative/Innovative Economy to hold hearings regarding the Music Industry Task Force report and recommendations. ..Body WHEREAS, On November 12, 2015 City Council passed Bill No. 150708 introduced by Councilman David Oh, which created The Task Force on the Philadelphia Music Industry; and WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Music Industry Task Force (MITF) considers the history of the music industry in Philadelphia, evaluates the current state of the music industry in Philadelphia, and develops a strategic plan for the re-establishment of Philadelphia as a center of the world music industry; and WHEREAS, The Task Force has issued its Report and Recommendations; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby authorizes Council's Committee on Global Opportunities and Creative/Innovative Economy to hold hearings regarding the adoption of the Music Industry Task Force Report and Recommendations. ..End
