..Title Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Designation of Bicycle Lanes," to authorize bicycle lanes in the vicinity of Passyunk Avenue, from 61st Street to Essington Avenue and Essington Avenue, from Passyunk Avenue to Bartram Avenue; and making associated changes to parking regulations within the same limits; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows: � 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes. * * * (2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations: * * * (*) Passyunk Avenue and Essington Avenue, from 61st Street to Bartram Avenue: One bicycle lane in each direction, and the removal of a parking lane within the same limits. SECTION 2. The following parking regulations are hereby established: Passyunk Avenue, north side, from South 61st Street to South 63rd Street. No Stopping Any Time Passyunk Avenue, south side, from South 63rd Street to Essington Avenue. No Stopping Any Time Essington Avenue, east side, from Passyunk Avenue to Bartram Avenue. No Stopping Any Time SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect as follows: (a) Section 1: Immediately. (b) Sections 2 and 3: Upon replacement of parking signage consistent with this Ordinance. ..End
