..Title Amending Chapter 13-100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Water, Sewer and Storm Water Rates," to provide a discount on water rates and charges for landlord-properties rented to low-income tenants, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 13-100 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: CHAPTER 13-100. WATER, SEWER AND STORM WATER RATES * * * � 13-101. Fixing and Regulating Rates and Charges. * * * (4) Standards for Rates and Charges. * * * (f) Special rates and charges, to be designated as "public housing water rates and charges" shall be established for property of the Philadelphia Housing Authority and shall be set so that the Philadelphia Housing Authority receives a five percent (5%) reduction off of the Water Department's service and quantity charges. (g) Special rates and charges, to be designated as "low-income rental property water rates and charges" shall be established for properties rented by landlords to tenants whose income is 60% or less of Area Median Income as determined annually by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, and shall be set so that such landlords receive a ten percent (10%) reduction off of the Water Department's service and quantity charges. * * * ___________________________________ Explanation: Italics indicate new matter added. ..End
