..Title Authorizing transfers in appropriations for Fiscal Year 2021 from the General Fund, the Council to the General Fund, certain or all City offices, departments, boards and commissions, and thereby implementing Council's "New Normal Jobs Initiative." ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the following transfers in appropriations for Fiscal Year 2021 within the General Fund: FROM: GENERAL FUND 2.1 THE COUNCIL Personal Services $ 200,000 Contributions, Indemnities and Taxes $ 3,800,000 Total $ 4,000,000 Total "FROM" General Fund $ 4,000,000 Total "FROM" Section $ 4,000,000 TO: GENERAL FUND 2.1 THE COUNCIL Purchase of Services $ 200,000 Total $ 200,000 2.12 THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT Purchase of Services $ 500,000 Total $ 500,000 2.13 THE MANAGING DIRECTOR Personal Services $ 1,000,000 Purchase of Services $ 1,300,000 Total $ 2,300,000 2.34 THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE Contributions, Indemnities and Taxes $ 1,000,000 Total $ 1,000,000 Total "TO" General Fund $ 4,000,000 Total "TO" Section $ 4,000,000 SECTION 2. It is the intent of Council through this Ordinance to support the following expenditures: $500,000 for the "Same Day Work and Pay" program; $1,000,000 for CLIP (Community Life Improvement Program); $1,000,000 for the Philadelphia Energy Authority to provide a workforce development program for at-risk youth; $300,000 for a job training program to provide additional nursing certification for home health aides; $1,000,000 for a pilot program to provide job training through the revitalization of commercial corridors; and $200,000 for COVID-19 Public Service Announcements. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately. ..End
