..Title Honoring and congratulating Champion of the Week, Northeast High School Boys Volleyball team, on their successful 2020-2021 season and their Philadelphia Public League Championship win. ..Body WHEREAS, The Northeast High School Boys Volleyball team is led by Health and Physical Education teacher and Head Coach, Brian Horner; and WHEREAS, The Northeast Vikings were undefeated in Philadelphia Public League and had an overall 7-3 record; and WHEREAS, The Northeast High School boys volleyball team finished their season with a 3-1 win over Central High School; and WHEREAS, In the playoffs, the Northeast Vikings went up against the Pennridge Rams and the Horace Furness Falcons to go to the final playoff game; and WHEREAS, Vikings roster includes Seniors Massi Mohli, Abdurasul Shirinboev, Paul Ramos, Leevi Nhean, Michael Rivera, Elias Ayala, Juan Serrano, Eljo Agolli, Shamaad Clack,and Isaiah Ownes, Juniors Tyler Nguyen, Xariel Valdes, Karim Fares, and Ryan Guynhm, and Sophomore Kelvin Lima; and WHEREAS, The Northeast High school's vision statement is, "Our students will become contributing, socially responsible, goal-oriented, and productive members of a global society. Our faculty and staff are a community of lifelong learners who serve as trusted educational resources to the greater Philadelphia area and beyond"; and RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby congratulate and honor Northeast High School Boys Volleyball team on their successful 2020-2021 season and their Philadelphia Public League Championship win. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy be presented to Northeast High School Boys Volleyball team, further evidencing the sincere admiration and respect of this legislative body. ..End
