..Title Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Designation of Bicycle Lanes," to authorize a bicycle lane, in the eastbound direction, on Chestnut street from South 63rd street to South 45th street; and to remove a travel lane on Chestnut street within the same limits; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows: � 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes. * * * (2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations: * * * (*) Chestnut street, eastbound, from South 63rd street to South 45th street: One bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits. * * * SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately. ..End
