..Title Honoring and congratulating Women's History Month's Champion of the Week, Imhotep Charter School's Girls Basketball team, on its successful 2022 season and winning the Philadelphia Public League title two years in a row. ..Body WHEREAS, Imhotep Charter School's Girls Basketball team is led by David Hargrove, who has led the team for six years; and WHEREAS, The Lady Panthers competed for the title against Mastery Charter North, the same team they had defeated in the previous year's championship game; and WHEREAS, The Imhotep Girls Basketball team won 55 to 45, after mounting a comeback after trailing at the end of the first quarter of the game; and WHEREAS, The Lady Panthers successfully won the game after they came together as a team and focused on key strategic moves which included everyone on the team bringing their best efforts forward, a reflection of the school's mission; and WHEREAS, Imhotep Charter's Girls Basketball team had to deal with the loss of several players who graduated, but after an adjustment period at the beginning of the season, the new Girls Basketball team proved they were united and ready to win once again; and WHEREAS, In the past six seasons, the Imhotep Girls Basketball team has won four championships, and the team shows no signs of slowing down; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby congratulate and honor Imhotep Charter School's Girls Basketball team on its successful 2022 season and winning its second Philadelphia Public League title in a row. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy be presented to Imhotep's Girls Basketball team, further evidencing the sincere admiration and respect of this legislative body. ..End
