..Title Honoring and congratulating Champion of the Week, the Girard Academic Music Program Competitive Spirit squad for becoming the first ever Philadelphia Public League Grand Champions of the Competitive Spirit Championship. ..Body WHEREAS, The Girard Academic Music Program Competitive Spirit squad excelled in the 2022 Competitive Spirit Championship among other Public League and Philadelphia area spirit squads; and WHEREAS, Girard Academic Music Program placed first in the Varsity Co-Ed category; and WHEREAS, The GAMP High School Competitive Spirit squad earned the highest overall score among over 30 competing squads; and WHEREAS, With such accomplishment, the GAMP High School spirit squad was crowned the first ever Grand Champion of the Competitive Spirit Championship; and WHEREAS, The GAMP High School Competitive Spirit squad earned a competition leading 72.6 points to earn their Grand Champion title and trophy; and WHEREAS, The students and coaching staff of GAMP High School Competitive Spirit squad put in considerable effort resulting in their victory; and WHEREAS, This designation is the first of its kind for the competition; and RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby congratulate and honor champion of the week, the Girard Academic Music Program spirit team for becoming the first ever Philadelphia Public League Grand Champions of the Competitive Spirit Championship. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy be presented to the Girard Academic Music Program, further evidencing the sincere admiration and respect of this legislative body. ..End
