WHEREAS, As the aviation industry has seen a downward trend in the amount of newly licensed pilots joining commercial aviation companies, GQ Aviation has set out to identify individuals in the region with a passion for piloting in order to address this issue, and WHEREAS, As the only minority-owned private flight school in the Northeast corridor, GQ Aviation has brought in over 50 students for months-long training to procure the necessary 65 hours of flight time to be eligible for a pilot license, and WHEREAS, GQ Aviation is proud to tout a 100% student passage rate and its commitment to technical competency and safety since its establishment, and WHEREAS, In addition to its efforts on the tarmac, GQ Aviation has engaged with the Northeast Philadelphia community to raise awareness of the benefits to flight school and the aviation industry as a profession, and WHEREAS, GQ Aviation's founder, Faisal Husein, has also served as a pilot for commercial airliners Mesa and JetBlue flying various routes both domestic and international.
