..Title Amending Title 11 ("Streets") and Title 21 ("Miscellaneous") of The Philadelphia Code to amend requirements concerning publication of notices in newspapers, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 11 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 11. STREETS * * * CHAPTER 11-300. BOARD OF SURVEYORS * * * � 11-307. Notice of Public Hearings. (1) Whenever a public hearing is scheduled by the Board of Surveyors on changes in the City Plan, notice of said hearing shall be given as follows: (a) by advertising once in each of the [three] two daily newspapers of the City having the largest paid circulation and in the official legal newspaper issued in the City, as defined in Section 21-1701, giving notice of the title of the plan to be considered, the date, time, and place of the hearing, and the addresses of City offices where the proposed plan may be examined, at least fifteen days prior to the date of said hearing. If [three] two daily newspapers of the City with a paid circulation and an official legal newspaper are not publishing at the time notice is required to be advertised, notice shall be given in as many such newspapers as are then publishing. If no such newspaper is then publishing, notice shall be given on the City's official website or in such manner as designated by Department of Streets regulations and in accordance with applicable law; and * * * SECTION 2. Title 21 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 21. MISCELLANEOUS * * * CHAPTER 21-1700. PUBLICATION OF NOTICES BY CITY � 21-1701. Notice of Public Hearings on Bills; Notice of Bills Reported from Committees of Council. * * * (3) Notice shall be given by advertising in the following two newspapers: the daily newspaper of the City having the largest paid circulation and the official legal newspaper issued in the City. For purposes of this Chapter, the term "daily newspaper" shall not include a legal newspaper, and "official legal newspaper" shall include publications in paper or digital format. * * * SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately. ..End
