..Title Amending Chapter 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Designation of Bicycle Lanes," to authorize a bicycle lane on N. 23rd Street between Race Street and Market Street, under certain terms and conditions ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 12 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 12. TRAFFIC CODE * * * CHAPTER 12-700. BICYCLE LANES * * * � 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes. * * * (2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations: (ii) North 2nd Street, southbound, from Race Street to Market street: One bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits. * * * (*) North 23rd Street, east side, from Race street to Market street: one bicycle lane; and North 23rd Street, east side, from Race street to Arch street: the removal of a travel lane. * * * SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately. ..End
