..Title Honoring and commending the Philadelphia City Council team participating in the 2025 Broad Street Run on May 4th, 2025. ..Body WHEREAS, The Broad Street Run is one of Philadelphia's most iconic athletic traditions, held annually on the first Sunday of May, drawing tens of thousands of runners from across the City and around the country; and WHEREAS, On May 4th, 2025, a dedicated team of Councilmembers and staff from eight different Philadelphia City Council offices will proudly participate in the Broad Street Run; and WHEREAS, The participation of the City Council team exemplifies the values of unity, perseverance, and the importance of leading by example in promoting health and fitness across the diverse communities of Philadelphia; and WHEREAS, This year's City Council team includes Councilmembers Jamie Gauthier and Rue Landau, alongside an enthusiastic group of staff members: Charlita Davis, Brielle Kimmins, and Jahya Cottries from Councilmember Jones's Office; Mariyah Khandros from Councilmember Gauthier's Office; Telyse Masaoay from Councilmember O'Rourke's Office; John Fenton representing the Council President's Office; Sara Rodriguez, Matthew Rego, and Daniel Galarrago from Councilmember Lozada's Office; Robert Yerkov from Councilmember O'Neill's Office; and Whitney Brown from Councilmember Bass's Office; and WHEREAS, Running ten miles down Broad Street, from North Philadelphia to the Navy Yard, is no small feat. The dedication required to train and compete reflects the same passion and teamwork that these individuals bring to their work in City Council every day; and WHEREAS, This effort, representing collaboration across multiple Council offices, showcases the strength of interoffice camaraderie and highlights the role of public servants in fostering both civic responsibility and wellness in our city; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That it hereby honors and commends the Philadelphia City Council Team for their participation in the 2025 Broad Street Run and for their exemplary demonstration of leadership, resilience, and commitment to the health and spirit of the City. ..End
